Spring Cruise, April 24, 2005
Central Indiana Camaro Club will be holding it’s annual spring cruise April 24th from Nashville, Indiana to Bedford, Indiana by way of back roads. This has been an event we have enjoyed as a club for many years. This cruise will begin at Brown County High School parking lot at 10 a.m. We will arrive in Bedford and have lunch at the Windmill Buffet. The cruise will conclude it’s run at the Monroe Reservoir Spill Way. There will be a caravan going to Brown County from the McDonald’s parking lot located at I65 and Main Street in Greenwood (exit 99). We will be leaving from McDonald’s at 9a.m. so if you plan to have breakfast, arrive early.

A Letter From Your Club President:
This year is going to be a banner year for the Central Indiana Camaro Club. I am pleased to announce that the club website is being totally revamped by the volunteer work of Keygan and Kim Spencer. I would also like to thank Mike and Sierra Hofmann for stepping up and contributing to the publishing of the club newsletter. I would also like to thank the efforts of Gary Hoke on coordinating the membership letters that most of your have recently received. I would also like to thank you, the club members, for stepping up in response to these letters. Not only have people paid their dues, as well as outstanding dues, but many have also made contributions to the club. These are the funds that will help pay for the activities we enjoy throughout the year. You the club members make all of this possible and keep the car ALIVE in our hearts.
Sincerely,
Dave Rynard
President, Central Indiana Camaro Club

General Motors Fact or Fiction (you make the call):
In the May 2005 issue of GM High Tech Performance states that the Camaro will return in the 2007-2008 model year. It will be based on the Holden platform and have strong styling lines of the 1969 camaro. We believe this article to be fiction due to the fact that the zeta platform has been placed on a hiatus. We will let you the readers make the call.
Bob Lutz: moving up or moving out? It has come to our attention that Bob Lutz has been made the Global head of GM. What we want to know if this is a move to be in a power position or a move to push him out of North America.
SS Badging: Has this insignia lost its luster? It seems like Chevrolet will put the SS nameplate on anything with four wheels. What happened to the days when SS meant Super Sport? Instead it seems that this new use of SS stands for “Standard Series.”
Pontiac and Buick Divisions: Recently rumors have been circulating that these divisions could follow Oldsmobile’s footsteps. Will they survive or will GM take the axe to these two divisions?
Saturn Sky: Will this promising new roadster be one of GM’s top-sellers? Will Saturn, known for their no haggle pricing, stand on this policy or will the Sky end up like the GTO? That is will the dealer’s mark them up to much placing them out of the consumers grasp?
