Central Indiana Camaro Club

May 3rd Meeting Notes

Met at SPEED SERVICE PERFORMANCE CENTER LLC, 1500 E. Main St., Brownsburg, IN., 7:00PM. Most of the meeting dealt with the upcoming show May 8th.  The following is most of what was discussed:

·         Brian Morgan had gotten feedback and finalized the dash plaque and awards plaque design. They have been ordered and should be ready by time of the show

·         A few door prizes were donated. We need more so if any club members could donate an item or two at their discretion it would be greatly appreciated. Things like a car washing kit, car care products, car related diecast/memorabilia, T-shirts, hats, etc. Use your imagination! New and unused items only please. Club will also provide some of the JADA Camaro diecast sets we still have as well.

·         The company that made our banner had inadvertently made it with the wrong colors. They re-made it correctly for us so we have two now!

·         Steve created a registration form to use and we will be re-using the voting forms from the Raymond’s show. .

·         Richard of SPEED SERVICE has been working with the chosen charity HOOSIERS FOR HEROS as well as HOOTERS for the food trailer. Charity is confirmed however HOOTERS Corporate says they didn’t get authorization in time so we won’t have the food trailer. Richard and his neighbor JEFF SAVAGE PAINT AND BODY will be purchasing chicken wing/finger meals from HOOTERS to be sold and there will be HOOTER Girls attending. Brian Morgan’s daughter volunteered to help with selling the meals.

·         Following vendors are expected; PEDDERS, RAYMONDS ALIGNMENT, SAVAGE PAINT AND BODY, POLAR POP Camaro, a drag bike company, an airbrush tattoo person, photographer/graphics person that can put your picture on t-shirts, mugs, mouse pads, etc., There will be no charge for vendors to attend, however they are encouraged to donate something to be raffled to benefit the chosen charity.

·         Signs are still in the works but we’ll hopefully have them by Saturday morning.

·         Could still use games to entertain the kids, young and old, if anyone has anything appropriate they could bring.

·         We stuffed a little over 50 goodie bags with what we had available at the meeting. There are a couple of things we will add the day of the show.

·         There is a show flyer posted on the club’s FACEBOOK page if anyone would like to print out copies.

Other Club business discussed:

·         Dennis Dickman celebrated a birthday and got a little cake presented to him.

·         Steve got more information on insurance to cover the club at events. Information was presented and it was voted that we purchase the coverage. If we get payment to the agent should be in place by time of the show May 8th.
